I cant change the audio of my videos!!

Directly streaming from NAS to AirPlay devices works perfectly with the previous version. With the new version I wasnt able to start any movie from the NAS to my Apple TV even I have v4.2.xxx on my qnap 439 installed.

When photos are being uploaded automatically they are being renamed from .jpg to a very long cryptic filename after the .jpg. Auto photo upload is unusable now, please fix!

Overall great app following fix may require. Initial connection is slower than previous version of app. The file and folder search option does not work - it ends with no result all the time even if file is there.

After updating a perfectly working application that had ZERO bugs, I can no longer connect to my qnap NAS. Rendering the whole unit useless to me. $300 for the NAS and I cant even use it now! Awesome!

I thought the latest update was supposed to provide support for the 6plus screen. It looks like its still using the 6plus built in upscaler. Big fail in my books.

They say that the crash issue is fixed. Just downloaded update. App doesnt even open anymore. Thanks for fixing ASAP.

Excellent decision to move to universal app, works great on iPad now and iPhone. New interface is move in right direction.

It stopped half way or got hang at end of download

I have a smart tv samsung dnla and its not show in the list.

This update works very nice with NAS boxs but you can no longer use QGenie! This is a shame as it was a very handy storage unit to work with ones iPad Air. There is no way one can have two Qfile Apps on ones iPad? Will Qnap be looking into this problem. Sad as one can no longer use QGenie!

When this app was overhauled, it was a big improvement, but I’ve noticed since then, each new ‘update’ seems to just introduce more and more bugs, from simple things like the NAS name no longer displaying when logged in (calls all ‘My NAS’ now) so you can’t be sure which NAS you are working on, to things like auto upload from photos not working well anymore, duplicating uploads, waiting forever, the completed task list keeps reappearing after cleared, videos long that a few min never upload, etc, etc. I had thought QNAP was FINALLY improving their software quality (or it gets rebuilt and finally improved by people who know what they are doing and have quality standards, then the original incompetent people take over for updates and break it all again, who knows). For such a large company, their software design and quality stands are among the very lowest; the hardware is good, but the software (including the OS on the NAS systems) makes it very frustrating and unreliable to use, just can’t ever depend on it, and spend far too much time dealing with ongoing bugs and new bugs. QNAP does not get a recommendation; other than a recommendation to stay away from their products (NAS/NVR) due to firmware/software quality.

After the April 25 update the app stopped supporting audio file formats that were supported on previous versions. (A52 audio (aka AC3))

In qfile dosnt work propertly choose extrernal app. The choose window has only qfile player and dosnt see other extrernal App. The secend problem is The app cant Support propertly airplay, cant see airplay controler.

Im impressed by number of multimedia types covered by embeded codecs. Respect! But lack of "keep-connection-alive" options for each of QNAP sws eliminates them with no mercy. Im loosing connection after 2-3 songs streamed from my NAS and have to open and login again to play next songs. Not awesome at all... -2 for this,but +1 for number of formats managed. I hope next updates will improve gaps.

Warking perfect on the lan, but via Internet cannot establish a connection, please fix it.

The network authentication security issue that I noticed in August the 16th has been solved in a very few days. Good job. 3 stars instead of 2. You will get 5 stars in the future if youll keep on updating this nice app. 16th august 2013 - 2 stars Nice app. nevertheless you should be aware that this app uses and stores the "mycloudnas" service credentials to reach the nas (instead of requesting the user to establish the much more secure vpn channel before connecting the nas), even if you uncheck the "remember password" option. this password option is related to the nas users, not to the network path authentication, which this app stores at the very first connection, and this is quite unsecure (if you lose your phone anyone could reach your files...).
